I was asked, "How do you know if something belongs under Ethnic Recipes?" I decide by the definition of Ethnic
which according to the American Heritage Dictionary is: Of or relating to sizable groups of people sharing a common and distinctive racial,
national, religious, linguistic, or culture heritage.
Amma's Indian Recipes
A small but nice collection of Indian recipes.
American-Friendly Filipino Recipes
Why is this called "American-Friendly"? The reasoning for this is that I know of many Americans (and non-Americans) who refuse to eat any
ingredients that they might find "strange". That includes pork intestines, banana hearts, or strange tropical fruit. This section will ensure the
picky eater that they will not need these ingredients in any of these dishes.

several recipes using grits. I also learned something on this site.
I had no idea that hominy is a type of grits.

are from small sites such as this.
Kentucky Burgoo, Hot Browns, Henry Bain's Sauce
Gypsy-J's Page - from the heart, and it shows. You'll find mouth-watering recipes
gathered from Gypsy-J's news group, and her own personal recipes under
Gypsy-J Personal. If you're not exactly a Daniel Boone when it comes to
squirreling, don't worry - contrary to myth, there ain't no squirrels in burgoo. Hot
Brown - a turkey open sandwich, named after the old Brown Hotel in Louisville;
one of the greatest sandwiches to be found anywhere, rivalling Eggs Benedict for
a tasty, satisfying meal. It's still served practically everywhere in Louisville, from
Churchill Downs to Bauers. Henry Bain was a waiter at the Louisville Pendennis
Club around 1880, and his sauce is just about the best steak sauce ever
devised. Just add a pint of Early Times to Gypsy-J's recipe and you'll be hooked.
Gypsy-J loves cooking, and wants to publish a cookbook. Are there any
publishers out there looking for a winner?
